Effects of the corona virus pandemic on the RoboCup German Open 2020
As a result of the corona virus pandemic the RoboCup German Open 2020 cannot take place as planned. Together with representatives of the German RoboCup regional committee, the organizer, the state capital of Magdeburg, will check the possibility of postponing the event to September 2020.

International RoboCup Major Competition (cancelled)
Open competitions in five Major Leagues were planned at the RoboCup German Open 2020 for football robots, service robots, rescue robots and robots for industrial use.
German RoboCup Junior Final (cancelled)
The Junior teams had to qualify in one of eight qualification tournaments in spring 2020 for the final in Magdeburg. The 20th German RoboCup Junior Competition will be held in three Junior Leagues. The best junior teams will also qualify for RoboCup 2020 in Bordeaux and the 3rd European RoboCup Junior Competition in Portugal.
